Marketing is an all encompassing term which describes everything that a company does in order to generate sales. This does not only include advertising campaigns, but every aspect that is perceived by the public. Children are a common target for advertising companies with the American Beverage Association stating that at one point three quarters of schools had exclusive contracts with soda companies such as Pepsi and Coca Cola.
